Southern Entrance

The southernmost 15 miles of US-31 in Michigan is along a freeway known as the Saint Joseph Valley Parkway. The parkway, which is comprised of US-31 and US-20, forms a freeway by-pass around Niles in Michigan, and South Bend, Mishawaka, and Elkhart in Indiana. This is the signage present as southbound US-31 crosses from Michigan into Indiana. Note that the WELCOME TO INDIANA sign is about 0.1 mile into Indiana.
